Winnipeg Jets Head Coach announced on Friday that Evander Kane from the Winnipeg jets was placed on injured reserve (IR) for 4-6 months because of shoulder surgery. He was supposedly playing with an injury for since at least summer of 2014.
There have also been lots of hockey analysts saying that Kane has played his last game in a Jets jersey, because of an incident in the locker room.
It is said that Kane arrived to a team meeting in a track suit, which is against the teams’ dress code. Following that, teammate Dustin Byfuglien supposedly threw Evander’s clothes in the showers, or a tub of water. Kane left and didn’t show up to the next game.
The next day, Coach Paul Maurice said that Kane being a healthy scratch was the “Coach’s decision”. It is quite likely that Evander Kane will get traded sometime soon, either after surgery recovery or before, even though his agent said that Kane has not asked for a trade yet.
