Jets winger Marko Dano was excited to play against his former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, as he showed in his tweet yesterday. Dano got drafted 27th overall by Columbus in 2013.

Unfortunately, the game didn’t go as planned for him (or the Jets as they lost 5-3). Dano slid into the end boards and couldn’t put any weight on his leg. He has been put on the Injury Reserve and is probably out for a couple of weeks with a lower body injury.

Dano has 10 points in 28 games played this year. This will be quite a loss for the Winnipeg Jets power play unit as well as their third line since Dano has been a great addition on both as of late.

The Jets have recalled Andrew Copp from the Manitoba Moose.
